I purchased this to see if I could replace my trusty paper character sheet, and for the most part the app is a success. The developers managed to fit all the pertinent PC info on a single screen efficiently, and built-in damage tracking and power usage makes it largely unnecessary to carry around sheets of note paper as well. Im also very pleased with the quick response regarding a bug in the previous version that would not allow feats to be displayed in the iPad app (now fixed -- thanks!). While the app is clearly designed to integrate with D&D Insider, the provided browser-based web front-end works fine if youre too cheap like me for a subscription. While I havent had a chance to play a session using the app yet, it appears to be very stable.
About the only things on my wish list for future features would be (1) an easy way to export PC information to share with non-iPad-owning DMs like mine, (2) importation/display of character portraits, and (3) built-in listings for feats/traits/powers/etc. (at this point, they have to be hand-entered).
